Telling My Truths
My writing heroes are Joan Didion, Roxane Gay, Nellie Bly, and Jeannette Walls. Naturally, the type of writing I'm most drawn to is creative nonfiction.
I've included a travel essay I wrote about a hiking trip I took to Yellowstone a couple years ago. It has a few stylistic choices in it that are essential to my writer's voice that I am very proud of.
I have also included an immersion memoir piece that is very close to me. It demonstrates my ability to intertwine narratives into a purposeful story.
