Author's Epilogue

Liv Puente

Before I begin, I want to make clear that this story is by no means done. There is so much more research I need to do—I’m very aware of that and I’m very excited about that. I was naïve about the amount of work that goes into crafting a true crime story and I have a newfound respect for the likes of Truman Capote and Ann Rule.

For now, I leave you with the stories of the murders. Some of the newspaper clippings will reveal more information about suspects and the trial, but hopefully that doesn’t distract from the young women who I’ve tried to place at the center of the narrative.

There is a lot more research I want to do to add to the stories I currently have, as well as to prepare to write the story of the killer’s trial.

Until then…
